	The 2011 American Flag Rugby Festival American Flag Rugby News and Press July 23, 2011 Your child will surely enjoy American Flag Rugby Blazing sunshine and lush green fields will set the stage for the world's largest youth Mini Tag Rugby Festival. Sponsored by the Morris Rugby Corporation, over 100 teams and 1000 children are expected to play the game they love on 25 fields, American Flag Rugby. Black River Fields, Chester New Jersey The World's Largest Youth Mini Tag Rugby Festival According to Guinness World Records - July 25, 2009 This fast paced, game that takes the basic skills of rugby, passing, running and kicking to a new level. Children age 5-14 play on teams of 7 to play two fast 10 minute halves. All Morris Rugby Teams including the Denville Dawgs, Montville Wanderers, Long Valley Wolfpack, Parsippany Panthers, Black River Renegades, Morristown Colonials, Mine Hill Tigers, Byram Bruins, Tri- Town Mountaineers participated. Union County was represented by Berkley Heights, Westfield, Cranford. Hudson County's first rugby show with Jersey City on board and Ridgewood, Blackthorn, Doylestown and North Penn made the track across the river. Fresh fruit, bagels and cold water was in available for all. As the heat elevated the Chester Fire Department opened their pumper truck to cool down the players. This gave the ruggers a burst of energy to finish the 172 games that were scheduled. The festival atmosphere was warm and friendly. Players, parents and spectators converted the sidelines into small tent cities. On behalf of Morris Rugby we thank the Township of Chester for the use of the fields and the Chester Fire Department and First Aid Squad for their continued support.
